Special Projects:
PROJECT: Spartanburg
County
In the fall of 2006, the
Spartanburg Seventh-day Adventist Church stepped out in faith to sponsor a
Steps to Christ mailing to 113,758 homes in their county, inspired by the
mailings recently completed in the San Francisco Bay Area. The church, with the
help of the Carolina Conference, was able to raise the funds for the project in
an unprecedented 2˝ weeks. The Path to Peace, the mass-mailing edition of
Steps to Christ that would be mailed to every home, was customized with the
county name and landmark images from the county seat of Spartanburg to better
help connect readers with the book they would be receiving in their mail.

PROJECT: San Francisco (Watch
the video)
April
18, 1906:
The city of San Francisco was destroyed by a powerful
earthquake and the fires that followed. April
2006:
The city of San Francisco was shaken by an
even more powerful force: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This was a Heaven-sent opportunity for the churches in the
greater San Francisco area to take the Three Angels' Message to every home in this great city
on the 100th anniversary of the Great San Francisco Earthquake.
This faith venture reached 414,445 homes with one of the most powerful
resources we have for evangelizing the world—the printed page.
Throughout the month of April 2006, a special edition of On The Edge of Time
titled,
What's
Next? Are You Prepared?. Every home
was given the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the gospel of present
truth and respond to the many free offers included in each book.
PROJECT: San Francisco set in motion the transforming power of the truth in
thousands of lives, the results of which will only be fully known in eternity.
