Project:
San Francisco 2006
April
18, 1906
The city of San Francisco was destroyed by a powerful
earthquake and the fires that followed.
April
2006
The city of San Francisco was shaken by an
even more powerful force: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
What is PROJECT: San Francisco 2006?
This is a Heaven-sent opportunity for the Churches in the
greater San Francisco area to take the gospel to every home in this great city
through the mass mailing of the book, What's
Next? Are You Prepared? (Special edition of On The Edge of Time for
San Francisco).
This faith venture has reached 414,445 homes with one of the most powerful
resources we have for evangelizing the world—the printed page.
PROJECT: Steps to Christ,
in partnership
with the Review & Herald Publishing Association, facilitated the printing
and mailing of the books for delivery to every household throughout the month of
April. Every home was given the opportunity to hear a clear presentation of the
gospel of present truth and respond to the many free offers included in each
book. Area churches are following-up personally on those interests generated
from the mailing.
Finally, PROJECT: San Francisco 2006 has set in
motion the transforming power of the truth in thousands of lives, the results of
which will only be fully known in eternity. “Until the Judgment shall sit, it
will not be known how much good has been done by this sowing of the gospel
seed.” RH, February 5, 1884.
