Project History:
Project Founder:
Jim
Barclay, a Seventh-day Adventist layman from the Illinois Conference, was
looking for a soul-winning method that could employ hundreds of thousands of
lay-people across the United States. As he prayed, God inspired him with the
idea of taking the gospel to the masses through the bulk-mailing of gospel
literature. Thus PROJECT: Steps to Christ was born. Jim and his wife, Connie,
directed the project from 1976 until 1992, when Jim fell asleep in Jesus.

direction. The specific instruction she has given us greatly clarifies our
mission responsibilities.

the most significant one is our time. God has given to each of us an equal share
of time each day. He also gives us a challenge to use a part of that day to
carry the gospel to someone who has not had the privilege of hearing it.
